Are you finding it difficult to manage everyday tasks in your home?
If so, equipment is available to help you continue to live independently and confidently. A free online assessment tool is now available in Perth and Kinross which can identify the equipment that meets your individual needs.
The website can be found at www.abilityoptionsperth.org.uk and can be used by the person that needs help or their family and friends.
Why use Ability Options?
How does it work?
To complete your assessment go to www.abilityoptionsperth.org.uk.
The online tool will ask simple questions about you and your home environment. Based on your answers, it will provide ideas to make tasks easier and give details of equipment or adaptations that can be made to your home to help you stay independent.
There is a wide range of products available, including bathing, showering and toileting equipment, bed and chair raisers and a variety of other items. Small adaptations such as grab rails and handrails can also be arranged.
You can complete the assessment yourself, or someone else - such as a family member can complete it your behalf.
For information about the range of equipment and adaptations available, or if you need help to complete the assessment, contact the Early Intervention and Prevention Team (EIAP) on 0345 30 111 20 or email AccessTeam@pkc.gov.uk
