Playlist for Life

What does Playlist for Life do?

We encourage families and caregivers to create a playlist of uniquely meaningful music for their loved one which can be delivered at any time via an iPod or simialr digital device.

Dementia and Music

Personally meaningful music can stimulate memories, as well as providing a sense of safeness, belonging and familiarity. Being able to respond to music is something that dementia cannot destroy.

How do I create a playlist?

Our website has a 'How To' guide to do the detective work that will create the best playlist for someone with dementia, plus tips for using the technology. You can also find out about our online training for individuals and organisations and how to apply for our free DVD for families.

"I am absolutely certain it brought back memories we thought lost in the mists of her dementia, and it gave me a link that I cherish". David Jack

"It was truly wonderful to see him respond to the familiar music. He hummed along, closed his eyes and really got into it. At one point he burst out laughing. My mum, my brothers and I were all in tears watching this wonderful experience." John Law
