We believe that the Young Carers know best what support and respite is beneficial to them. The consultation event has been a great tool in the past and many of the current services being delivered were as a direct result of what was suggested at previous events.
The Young Carers have requested to run a consultation event during Carers Week, to help raise the profile of Young Carers and what support services they need. Currently, we have 3 Young Carers who sit on P&K Voice group and they feel that it is essential for Young Carers voices to be heard and represented.
The event will take place at the National Christian Outreach Centre, Riggs Road, Perth, PH1 1PU on Wednesday 13th June from 6pm - 8pm and will provide an opportunity for all invited guests to participate in discussion and feedback workshops.
The provisional plan of structure for the evening will be time for reflection – look back on the previous year and what’s been achieved, what worked well and what didn’t work so well – feedback from Young Carers through Questionnaires, feedback corners – discussion topics will be placed around the room and the Young Carers and invited guests can visit the topics and express their views and ideas.
If you would like to attend this event please contact Billy Morrison, Young Carers Senior Support Worker on 01738 567076 or email Billy.Morrison@pkavs.org.uk
