Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) works in the community and inpatients settings across Tayside delivering creative engagement programmes for people living with Long Term Health Conditions. We look to break down barriers to access to the arts and promote the positive health improvements that particpating in the arts can bring.
THAT working with Perth Museum and Art Gallery are looking to provide a Creative Words for Wellbeing programme which is designed to provide you with an enjoyable and sociable wellbeing experience.
The 8 weekly sessions will be held on Thursday afternoons commencing Thursday 18th October 2018 from 1.30 – 3.30 in the library within Perth Museum and Art Gallery. This opportunity is supported by The Gannochy Trust and NHS Tayside, who are working with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust to deliver a unique therapeutic engagement for positive wellbeing and enjoyment!
Novelist Zoe Vendittozi an experienced writer and educator will encourage people to explore the world of the written and spoken word. We will have access to great archive photographs and artefacts to stimulate ideas. If people need assistance to scribe we can look to support this. We are interested to hear peoples memories or stories of the original Perth City Hall, however, this is not a requirement to participate and enjoy this programme. No previous experience is necessary.
