Auchterarder Mindfulness Course for Carers

Due to a high demand and thanks to funding received through the Community Investment Fund we are now able to bring back Mindfulness Classes for unpaid carers.

We’re inviting carers to a series of 6 Mindfulness Classes in Auchterarder

Most of us live busy and stressful lives where we are under pressure to get things done or be somewhere by a certain time.

Our minds are full of what needs to be done or even sometimes going over what has been.

We rarely pause to appreciate the present moment. This constant ‘busyness’ may lead to various health problems.

Physical and mental health and general well-being can be improved by mindful practice and the qualities of mindfulness can be developed in our lives in the same way as learning a new skill.

The classes will take place on the dates and times given below:

Day & Time: Mondays 2pm-4pm

Dates:

  • 24th  June
  •   1st  July
  • 8th  July
  • 15th  July
  • 22nd July – 1 WEEK BREAK
  • 29th  July
  • 5th  August

By the end of the course carers will have:

• A clearer understanding of what mindfulness is

• The ability to establish a regular practice at home

• A way of being that helps to tackle life’s problems – physical, mental, social and emotional

• The ability to relax more deeply

• Heightened self-confidence and enthusiasm for life

The classes will cover:

• Breathing

• Meditation

• Hand mudras

• Vibration and sound

• Negative self-talk
